Key Dates & Community Highlights:

• This Saturday, May 2 – State Farm Youth Day at UNA Baseball Join us at Mike D. Lane Field at Bank Independent Stadium for a fun-filled day supporting the North Alabama Lions! Kids 12 and under get free admission. There will be plenty of baseball excitement, giveaways, and family-friendly activities. Bring the whole crew out—it's a great way to kick off the month! Go Lions! ⚾

• First Friday – May 1 Downtown Florence comes alive with music, art, food trucks, and local vendors. A perfect evening to stroll Court Street with family and friends.

• Shoals Storytelling Festival – May 14-16 Head to the Shoals Theatre for an unforgettable weekend of live stories, laughter, and inspiration. Great for all ages!

• Arts Alive 2026 – May 16 & 17 Wilson Park transforms into an outdoor gallery with artists, crafts, food trucks, and live entertainment. Free to attend—perfect for a family outing.

• Memorial Day – Monday, May 25 A day to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Many local events, parades, and cemetery ceremonies will take place across Florence and the Shoals. Our office will be closed in observance. Take time to reflect, spend time with loved ones, and enjoy the long weekend safely.
